Blogging requires time, but you can write about a topic you love, monetize the content, and over time create passive income‌. 

With blogging, you can earn passive income through affiliate marketing, display advertising, and/or selling digital products like eBooks and printables.

Create and Sell Printables

Printables are digital products like PDF worksheets, and templates that people can download and print from home. This includes budgeting templates, debt payoff trackers, planners, and templates for weekly grocery shopping and meal planning.

The best part about printables is that you don’t need expensive software or graphic design experience to create them. Becoming a VA is an excellent option if you’re looking to work from home. More and more businesses are going online, so I expect the VA industry to grow in the coming years.

Self-Publish an eBook

If you have an idea for a book and like to write, then consider writing an eBook. Amazon and Kindle have made it so easy to get your book in the marketplace.

You can find proofreaders and editors on sites like Fiverr to help you get your book in tip-top shape.

When I wrote my eBook, “Planning Your Estate: An Introductory Guide to the Basics and Benefits of Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning,” I used the editing and proofreading services on Fiverr. I also hired a Fiverr freelancer to create the cover and format my book for Kindle.

It takes commitment and a plan to write and sell an eBook successfully, but if you’re determined, you can generate passive income or even start a writing career.

Believe it or not, people are making money by filling out online surveys. Many companies depend on consumer opinions for their research, and they will pay you for your time.
